About Our Institution

Govt. Utkrisht Senior Secondary School, Jhakri, established in 1982, is a government institution managed by the Department of Education, Himachal Pradesh. Located in the rural region of Rampur-II (Sarahan Block), District Shimla, the school provides quality education from Grade VI to Grade XII in a co-educational environment.

Hindi serves as the primary medium of instruction, and the academic session begins in April each year. The campus is well connected by an all-weather road, ensuring accessibility for students throughout the year.

The school operates in its own government building with well-maintained classrooms, additional rooms for academic and administrative activities, and a dedicated Principal’s office. The campus is equipped with electricity, functional tap water facilities, separate toilets for boys and girls, a spacious playground, and a library housing over 2,400 books to support academic growth.

To enhance digital learning, the institution provides functional computers for teaching and learning purposes. Mid-day meals are prepared and served within the school premises, ensuring students’ well-being alongside their academic development.
